If you have submitted an author account application already, then you can submit a story here as well.
Once you’ve got a story or two up on our site, you can also submit links to your published books here to get them added to our Inklings catalog.
And finally, if you would like to check out our story prompts, then you can do so here!
What Inklings Fiction is About,
Years ago, the Inklings were a group of authors who redefined what it meant to write Christian Fiction.
Since then, we’ve been losing ground. It is time that we, the Christian Creatives, regained the ground we lost!
Let’s take back the publishing world!
To do this, we have to lock arms and help each other into communal success:
Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.”Leviticus 26:8
Remember, one man sharpens another, so be prepared to sharpen your fellow author! We’re in an army here, an army of creatives. Together we can train up an army of artisans to reclaim the land we’ve surrendered!
So, long story short, InklingsFiction is my first step in helping Christian authors and writers to find their way in the publishing world. It’s here to help us learn, build, network, grow stronger, refine our work, and so much more.
God put a story in all of us. Write on, and God bless.
Writing On Inklings Fiction
Inklings Fiction is a service meant for Christian authors and writers of all ages to share their stories with the whole wide world.
All these stories are “clean” stories, so readers and writers alike won’t have to worry about seeing inappropriate (inapro-pro, as I like to call it) content as they often do on other sites that host stories. While all these stories are clean, they aren’t always going to be what you might expect to see in a church setting though. We’re writing stories that take place in the real world, here. While we prefer to see everyone come to Jesus, that doesn’t always happen.
We’ve got a set of rules for writers to follow, and that serves to protect everyone involved.
Now, if you’d like to write a story with us, then you’ll have to apply to become an author first. You can apply on this page: Write With Us.
If you’ve already got an author account set up with us, then you can submit a story here at our Submit a Story page.
Submitting Published Books to the Inklings Fiction Catalog
We’re writers and authors here, I’m well-aware that we’ve got books published! (Or at least some of us do.)
I’m here to support you guys, and that means I’m here to help get your books out there and in front of your audience! As such, I’ve made a catalog for all the books that are written by Inklings Fiction authors.
There are some rules, of course, two of which are that you have to have an author account set up and that you already have at least one story up on InklingsFiction.com. This requirement is in place to ensure that only authors who are willing to give a little will get a little. Translation? You must sow before you reap.
Once you’ve got a story up on InklingsFiction.com (even if it’s only been two seconds), then you can submit your books to me and I’ll get them up on the site! You can only submit them one at a time at this point in time, however.
If you’re ready to submit a book to the catalog, you can do so at our Submit Your Published Book to Our Catalog page.
Want a video walkthrough of this? Check it out here.
And before any of you ask, authors maintain full rights to their works and can have their pieces removed at any time. I’m an author too, I know the importance of being able to control where my stuff is seen!
I am a firm believer that God put a story in everyone.
We’ve all got our own sets of experiences. We’ve lived lives that are so dramatically different than other people. We’ve all dreamt of things that other people can’t possibly dream. We’ve aspired to things, God’s shown us things, we’ve thought of things.
That’s all stuff that could become your story.
But, let’s face it; sometimes we run a little low on ideas despite all of that. Sometimes it’s because of internal doubts, sometimes it’s because we just need a nap and a snack like Elijah did. But, if that doesn’t help, then you might be in need of a nice little story prompt. If that’s the case, then InklingsFiction.com has quite a few story prompts that its creator, Caleb Fast, came up with.
All those prompts are free to use however you wish, but I will admit that I’d love to see it up on Inklings or in a book some day!
To check out all the prompts that I’ve made, then you can do so at our Story Prompts Page!
