Most ancient societies that we know of have at least one thing that they are known for. Usually, it’s the thing that survived them.
Rome’s is the Colleseum, its roads, aqueducts, arches, and so many other things. Egypt has its pyramids. China its wall. The Maya have their own pyramids, the Aztecs have Mexico City.
There are SO many ancient civilizations to pull from.
This week’s prompt is to tell the tale of the people who left behind several pillars of stone. Perhaps it’s just one or two, maybe it’s thousands of pillars. Maybe these pillars are full-on towers that people live in, maybe they just mark borders.
Perhaps your tale can be about the people who build the structures, maybe those who inherited them, maybe the tale of the person who rediscovers them needs told. Maybe there’s a secret to the towers that no one knows about…
As always, this prompt is free to use however you want!
