Today’s prompt is to tell the story of a writer, reporter, or possibly a guild of such people who make it their life’s mission to write the world into a better place.

We’ve all seen what evil reporting and writing does to a nation. How it shifts the mindsets of the populace against people who it used to revere. We’ve seen how one false article can tarnish the reputation of any man and woman.

Tell the story of someone who aims to build up. To encourage. Embolden. Inspire.

Maybe your tale can follow them as they get death threats from the evil spinners of words. Maybe they’re investigating the murder of one of their fellow guild writers who was killed by one of the evil word spinners when they receive such a threat. Maybe they’re on the frontlines of a war, or in the midst of a riot–I mean “peaceful protest”.

Yeah, this prompt is set up to be uber political. But, that’s what books are so much of the time. It’s high time we stopped shying away from the things that the PC cult has told us not to touch if we know it needs touched.
